Barry Swenson Builder, a San Jose company that was selected to work with the city on a deal to revitalize the properties, will continue to seek the public’s preferences and ideas as the plan to transform almost two city blocks in the middle of downtown proceeds.

Barry Swenson gets nod in Morgan Hill

Berry Swenson Builder, out of San Jose, has been chosen to redevelop two parcels in downtown Morgan Hill.

The Swenson proposal includes an upscale grocery store in a corner location along Monterey Road, though Current said a specific vendor has not been identified. The grocery store would range from 12,000 to 20,000 square feet.

The Monterey Road redevelopment sites could feature another 7,000 square feet of retail, a 13,000 square-foot cinema, up to 12,000 square feet of offices and 40 residences as envisioned by Barry Swenson Builder.
