Marin County
The North County Gateway area in Marin County consists of unincorporated and undeveloped lands north of the City of Novato on both sides of Highway 101 to Marin County’s border with Sonoma County . This area serves as a community buffer between the Cities of Novato and Petaluma and is a gateway to both Marin and Sonoma Counties. The area provides an agricultural and scenic landscape and contains potential trail linkages for recreation and potential habitat linkages for wildlife movement from mountain tops to baylands. Land preservation would retain the open space, agricultural, and natural resource attributes of this area.
