Marin County
The North GGNRA Lagunita Creek area is located in western Marin County near Tomales Bay. The area contains a portion of Lagunitas Creek, the primary waterway in the largest watershed in Marin County. A few of the species that depend on this habitat include coho salmon, steelhead trout, and the northern spotted owl. An abandoned railroad grade also parallels Lagunitas Creek and can provide a trail link between Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Point Reyes National Seashore lands. Protecting land along Lagunitas Creek provides benefits to fish and wildlife habitat and would provide a regional trail connector.
