Alameda & Contra Costa Counties

Alameda County and Contra Costa County have miles of trails in urban and rural settings. These trails provide transportation choices and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors. However, opportunities exist to connect existing trails and to link to regional parks and other planned regional trail systems. Expanding the existing trail network will provide a comprehensive regional trail system that allows trail users to access a variety of opens spaces and urban centers through an alternative means of transportation.
