Aquavista – Twin Peaks

San Francisco County

Aquavista/Twin Peaks is a small area in the Twin Peaks neighborhood of central San Francisco. It is the last remaining undeveloped privately-owned parcel adjacent to one of the City’s largest public open spaces. In addition to the spectacular views, this site provides connectivity to other existing preserved areas. This site provides an opportunity to extend the natural habitat that exists in the established public open space. The natural vegetation in Twin Peaks supports the habitat of the Mission Blue Butterfly, as well as a number of California native plants. The area also includes an alignment of the Bay Area Ridge Trail. Public purchase of the site would permit the City and partner organizations to comprehensively plan for and protect the entire area.
