San Francisco County
The Bayview Hill Radio area is in southeast San Francisco. The land harbors a rich native biological community and is an integral part of the biological community of the entire hill. Once isolated, Bayview Hill is becoming an increasingly popular recreation area, with an increasing number of field trip visits. It is thus an outdoor classroom, for adults and for student groups. In addition to being part of the wildlife habitat of Bayview Hill, it is part of the wildlife corridors throughout the city. The area is surrounded by land owned by the City & County of San Francisco. Preservation of this area would enhance existing protected lands and provide residents access to nearby open space.
