Santa Clara County
The Pescadero-Tar Creek area is located in the southern tip of Santa Clara County. The area has redwood forests, freshwater perennial marsh, breeding habitat for species such as the California red-legged frog, California tiger salamander, and western pond turtle, and a habitat linkage along the ridgeline of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Land conservation in this area would protect the area’s ecological integrity and provide opportunities for trail connections.
