Solano County
The Western Hills area is located along the Napa County and Solano County border in Solano County between the cities of Napa and Fairfield. The area is valued for its natural resources and large blocks of intact habitat that support a variety of vegetation types and native species. The area has farmland, rangeland, grasslands, oak woodlands, and riparian habitat. The area includes the Jameson Canyon watershed and upper Green Valley watershed, which contains the Vallejo Lakes. Land conservation in this area has the potential to provide recreational opportunities, preserve a habitat corridor, maintain productive agricultural uses, and protect watershed lands.
